Hosted by A Cat-Like CuriosityAll Saints Day & My Devotional Thoughts.

Over the past few days I have been re-reading my copy of The Secret before bed time and really enjoying reading those life affirming words once again. It sparked an idea in my mind - to look back to my original posts all about The Secret and to see whether there is more I can add to them. Any extras I have learned since then, or indeed any important lessons I have kind of forgotten.

I went looking for this post, all about emotions as gifts. Here it is, word for word:

I have been doing much better in the mornings now. I have reconnected with my ideals and my secret goals and thoughts.

I am feeling much more positive about things now - much more so. I am keeping a closer track of my emotions as they are an important window into what I am thinking and therefore what pictures I am projecting out to the universe. What frequency I am vibrating on and therefore what I am attracting to me.

The full quote from the title is

"The emotions are an incredible gift we have to let us know what we're thinking." Bob Doyle.

Being in tune with my feelings is important to me. It is vital for me to be successful in life. I cannot achieve what I want to unless I am thinking the right thoughts and projecting the right vibes.

I need to keep on asking myself - What am I attracting now?

What am I attracting now? Right now, as I sit here and type. Let's look at how I feel. I feel calm, content. I do feel slightly rushed (trying to get everything done at home when work is looming once more on the horizon will do that to you). Overall though, I feel happy.

So, it stands to reason then that I can only really be attracting good things to me right now. I start and end each day with gratitude and I thank the universe for the thriving and successful business I have created for myself, based around my talents and the gifts of my soul.

I am mindful of what I project into the universe. I am careful to think the right kind of thoughts and to plant my hopes, my dreams and my ideas onto fertile ground. There is no earthly use whatsoever in having wonderful hopes for your family, gorgeous ideas for your business and grand dreams for the future if you are constantly doubting those things. If you plant those ideas inside a doubtful mind they'll have little chance of growth and no real chance of reaching the heights they might otherwise grow to.

We all occasionally have negative thoughts about things. That is part of human nature I guess. But did you know that a positive thought has much more power than a negative one? So you can easily balance out any negativity that creeps in by making a conscious, intentional effort to focus on positive thinking.

One way to really be sure that your positivity is outweighing your negativity is by keeping an eye on your emotions. Your emotions are the key to all of this. They tell you what frequency your thoughts are on most consistently and also alert you to the kind of vibes you are giving out into the universe at this precise moment.

If you are feeling happy overall then your negative thoughts (if you have any) aren't your dominant projection. Those thoughts simply won't have the power to throw you off course because your emotions won't let them.

If when you analyse your feelings you find they are negative it's time to delve deeper. It's time to employ your secret shifters and get them to help you re-align yourself with the positive vibes you want to give out to the world.

What are your dominant thoughts and feelings today? Are they what you want them to be? Or are they out of line with what you want to project? What can you do to shift things along?

Now it's time for our featured linker of the week. I really love that people come over here and link up each week with us, and as a little thank you I like to feature one of the lovely linkers whose post really spoke to me. Would you like to be featured? All you need to do is to link up below - I pick out a different post to feature every week. This week I'd like to feature this post by Brittany at Sweet Country Roots. In it she talks about the joys (for her) of home schooling her children and the pleasure she has taken in that choice. It's very interesting and heart felt writing. Definitely worth checking out.
