Browniepie for my boyfriend his birthday

I've been making this pie for a couple of years now and I haven't even gotten bored of it. It's chocolate how could anyone get bored with that and admit it, the word browniepie makes you drool and gain 10 pounds instantly just by thinking about it.

Here's what you need for the batter
  • 250 grams of dark chocolate (60% cacao) to melt
  • 250 grams of real butter, room temperature
  • 5 whole eggs, beaten
  • 175 grams of fine sugar
  • 45 grams of self-raising flower

To add to the batter
  • 150 grams of dark chocolate to chop up into small bits and pieces
  • A handful of chopped pealed hazelnuts, they can be roasted

Time to make some pie! It's really really easy to make

First chop up the chocolate and put it in a bowl with the butter, put this in the microwave oven to melt or do this au bain-marie. While the chocolate melts put the flower and the sugar in a bowl and mix the dry ingredients very well together. Then add the melted chocolate to the dry ingredients and mix this very well until it's a beautiful brown consistent batter.
Then add the eggs to the mixture and mix it up again. When you're done with this, put the batter aside and chop the rest of your chocolate into small bits so you can add these to the batter. Then chop up the nuts, you can do this either with a knife of with a good blender. Make sure you still have pieces left when you use a blender. Add these to the batter.

Now pre-heat your oven 165°C, which is I think 325°F or gas mark 3.

Grab a tin in which you're going to bake the pie and rub it with good butter and cover this up with a fine layer of self raising flower, this will make sure that the pie won't stick to the tin. Pour in your batter and put it in the oven for about 30-35 min

the picture was taking with the retrica iphone app, you can download it in the appstore, it's not free :( sorry.

VOILA your pie is done, wait for it to cool down, get it out of the tray and eat!
