What anime has taught me

I won't deny it, I L-O-V-E anime! Why? It's fun, surrealistic at times, the characters are awesome and you either love them or hate them forever, short episodes (even though some series just keep on going). But just like Disney it has quite some surreal things and stereotypes.

1. Girls either have huge boobs or no boobs at all, you have to choose.

2. Magic is the key to everything. In Fairy Tail everything is driven by magic, cars, trains, the whole town of Magnolia depends on it with their lives! Magic is what drives them and gives their lives purpose wether it's for good or evil.

3. You begin to think that they use the same voice actors or animators for almost every show.. E.g. Fairy Tail vs Blue Exorcist. Not the exact same drawing style but if you compare Rin and Natsu with each other they are very much alike in many ways.

4. The number seven is omnipresent. Dragon Ball has 7 dragon balls. Naruto Uzumaki is the 7th Hokage in Naruto. There are 7 warlords of the seas in One Piece. Team Natsu in Fairy Tail has 7 members and last but not least in the words of Gajeel (Fairy Tail) "what do you mean our dragons disappaered on the 7th day of 7th month in the year 777."

5. The main character his parents are most likely dead or have disappeared. It's almost the same time after time and anime after anime but it does make our hearts bleed (even if it's just a little).

6. Food, you can never get enough of it. Natsu, Goku, Luffy and Naruto are most likely the biggest eaters who can devour Godzilla-sized portions in seconds.

7. The protagonist is usually surrounded by the opposite sex but just can't get to the action for some unknown reason, except for the occasional faceplant between some girl her boobs. Thus, the internet is full of fanfic that make our wildest dreams come true.

8. Girls have to take the obligatory visit to either a beach, swimming pool or hot spring. This just goes without question, we all need some time to relax after almost dying 9000 times..

9. Protagonists or close friends of the protagonists have odd haircolours. Wether it's pink, blue, bright red, purple or orange everything is okay and totally normal.

Anime teaches people the importance of friendship and family, what they call nakama and nakama is sacred.

So that's it for what I've have learned from anime so far.

But how about you? Do you secretly (or openly) love anime as much as I do? And what's your favourite show? Tell me all about it in the comments below!

*Note: I do not own any of the shows listed above.
